We meet together every Sunday morning at 10.00 am for our Communion Service.
Every second Sunday of the month we have a different kind of service called Morning Worship. This is a less formal service and does not involve Communion. If you would like bread and wine on the second Sunday we have short Communion service after the main service.
We also hold a midweek communion service on a Thursday at 10.00am
Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults that involves making things, listening to stories, eating and having fun. It happens in the church hall @4pm
Messy Church Sundays in 2020 are currently on hold.
Our approach: being church.
We are a part of the Church of England and we take Jesus Christ and the words of the bible seriously and we take Christ’s presence at work amongst and through us seriously. We’d like to tell you more…
A little about us
St Columba’s is a parish church on the edge of Sutton Coldfield Park, by the Banners Gate. We are a part of the Church of England.
The foundation stone of the building was laid in 1959 and the first service took place in 1960. We are fortunate to have a wonderful church hall which is used by many local community groups.
Our principal gathering as a Christian community takes place every Sunday at 10am for Communion. We also run a Messy Church which meets at 4pm on 6 Sunday’s throughout the year.
We would be pleased to see you at any of our services or events.
We do try to offer a warm welcome to everyone who visits us but we are sure that there are times when we could do better.
Please consider introducing yourself when you come and in short, if you want to know more, please ask.
We’re delighted you are with us (or thinking of coming along). We hope it may be for a good long time, but we know that some people find it helpful to journey with us only for a while, as part of a wider exploration. We’re just glad to have you with us for as long as that turns out to be.
